Overall, I believe in a patient-centric, holistic approach to menopause, and I recognize that supporting hormone replacement when your body’s levels decline can be an important component of integrative well-being.
There are two primary reasons people choose to begin bioidentical menopause hormone therapy:
- For the symptoms of Perimenopause and/or
- For disease prevention for Postmenopause
Together, we will review your history, symptoms, and goals to determine whether hormonal or non-hormonal options are best for you. My approach focuses on empowering you to make the best decisions for yourself—after all, who knows your needs better than you do?
I start with FDA-approved bioidentical hormone therapy because it ensures that patients receive the exact dose I intend for them. However, if the cost, formula, or delivery method of these insurance-covered hormones is not the best fit, I collaborate with compounding pharmacies to provide a solution tailored to each patient’s needs.
Additionally, I offer the insertion and removal of hormonal and non-hormonal IUDs for patients who desire these options.

If you are interested in a nonhormonal approach we will discuss all pharmaceutical, naturopathic and lifestyle options available to help you thrive.
Commonly prescribed hormones:
Systemic/Whole body: Estradiol, Micronized Progesterone, Testosterone
Vaginal: Estradiol, DHEA, etc.
Will I need lab work?
I recommend, but do not require, baseline comprehensive lab work. By combining your history, symptoms, and the lab results we gather, we can more accurately determine your current stage in the menopause journey.
Additionally, we will check your labs every 3–6 months during the first year to ensure you are absorbing the hormones properly, as everyone’s skin reacts differently.
It’s important to note that perimenopause is not a lab diagnosis, and we do not adjust hormone therapy based solely on lab values. Instead, we will fine-tune your hormone therapy until you feel your best and your symptoms are minimized. This process will involve follow-up visits every 8–12 weeks until you are optimized and stable.
